iRacing Road Pro Series 2016. Rounds 3-5 Recap

Silverstone, Suzuka and the Circuit of Americas (COTA) have been the scenarios of the last three rounds of the iRacing Road Pro Series 2016. Four PSR drivers are involved in the competition. All of them have the objective of finishing in the top 20, and therefore to gain a Pro license. Based on the results achieved in the official seasons of the iRacing Grand Prix Series, Fernando Guerrero had a good opportunity to be another PSR driver accompanying Diogo Oliveira in the 2017 World Championship. Daniel Bida, Manuel Domingo and Ruslan Sabitov showed also a strong pace, with a clear opportunity to finish in the top 20. However, the championship is resulting extremely difficult with a Strength of Field (SoF) similar to the World Championship races, which has complicated the ambitions of the PSR drivers.

Silverstone was not a good round for the team with Daniel in P15, Fernando in P16, Ruslan in P21 and Manuel in P22. That was not the team's real pace and as a consequence, this was one of the more disappointing results. Suzuka was even worse, with Fernando in P18 after a very difficult race, and Manuel in P21. Only Daniel could save the weekend scoring good points. In COTA, Fernando returned strong, with a P10, and maintaining the expectations to finish in the top 20. Manuel finished in P13 and Ruslan in P16, improving their previous results.

Despite all the difficulties, after 5 rounds Daniel Bida (in P13) and Fernando Guerrero (in P23) are close to the target. There are still 4 rounds remaining, and standings may significantly change after round 6, when one week (between weeks 1-6) will be dropped. Everything can happen. However, and despite the extreme difficulty of the championship, the team expects to keep improving the results during the last rounds.
