Diogo Oliveira finishes in P7 in the iRacing Pro Series

Nürburgring was the scenario of the last round of the iRacing Pro Series.

Nürburgring was the scenario of the last round of the iRacing Pro Series. This race implied the culmination of a long journey initiated in January 2015, when PSR decided to start the road to the iRacing World Championship Series (iWCS). Fernando Guerrero, Kevin Siggy and Diogo Oliveira were the drivers competing for PSR in this first attempt to be in the top 25 of the iRacing Pro Series, and therefore to gain the right for competing in the iWCS.

Unfortunately, Fernando couldn't race in this last round, and therefore he couldn't fight for the top 25, as it was expected only a few rounds ago. Kevin Siggy, after a disappointing start of the championship with a lot of internet problems, practically had no possibilities to finish in the top 25, but he wanted to prove that he can be in the fight for the iWCS. Finally, Diogo Oliveira started the race with a comfortable P7 in the drivers' championship almost ensured.

Kevin opted by an aggressive two stop strategy, with a lot of overtaking and a very short last stint. It was one of their best performances of the year, and the Austrian driver proved that he can complete very good races and championships if he has not hardware or internet problems.

Diogo Oliveira chose a one-stop strategy. He had to struggle with a heavy car during the first stint, but his main target was to safely score some points, in order to ensure a good position in the championship. He finally finished in P16, concluding a very good championship in P7 (provisional results), and being the first Positive SimRacing Driver in the iRacing World Championship Series: A historic milestone for the team.

In this its first iRacing pro Series, Positive SimRacing proved to be able of placing the three drivers in the top 25, but lack of experience, internet and personal issues significantly hindered that goal. The team however is being reinforced and committed to boost his growth to the iWCS in next editions.
